Laminate Wood Flooring
Laminate floor is made from pressed recycled wood combined with stabilizers and synthetics (Ratio: 90% – 10%) (Ι.Ε. Highly compressed HDF board with resin hardening, the image of wood is then placed over the composite wood and finally a protective film is covering it to form the laminate) thus is durable and resists scratches, friction and impact, wear and tear. It is not completely fire proof, but it has resistance to fire, for topical burning only, since it has a film on its surface which makes it able to resist a small flame! It is moisture resistant with sizable moisture resistance. It also has UV protection integrated into its surface, with unalterable and anti-allergic colours, which makes it suitable for places with a lot of sunlight. Ideal for underfloor heating, it can be installed easily and quickly without the use of any tools and glue, even over an already existing old floor. Measured in millimeters, it can range from 7mm to 12mm thick. Each one of them has an AC rating scale assigned to it, which provides guidance of the appropriate thickness to choose, based on its hardness-force and use.
